Get A Student Loan
Applying for student loans is easier than ever with today’s online applications.
To get a student loan, students can generally apply online or over the phone. While
federal student loans – like the popular Stafford Loan – require families to fill
out the FAFSA form before receiving their funds, most private loans do not. Keep
in mind, though, that Stafford loans represent the best option for families looking
to get a student loan and should be the first choice because of their low interest
rates and generous repayment provisions.
If you’re interested in getting a federal student loan, speak to your college’s
financial aid office. The deadline for the 2007-2008 FAFSA is June 30th, 2008.
Many families need to borrow more than the Stafford program allows. If you need
to get a student loan that helps supplement your Stafford loan, consider a Think
Student Loan. A Think Student Loan allows you to borrow up to the full cost of education
and up to a $250,000 lifetime aggregate maximum. You can
apply online or over the phone and the application takes about 15 minutes.
